Tyndale Designer Wins 2024 Top Shelf Book Cover Award
The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) announced a record-breaking 43 winners of the 2024 Top Shelf Book Cover Award during the opening ceremony of ECPA PubU, attended by over 200 publishing professionals. Presented by ECPA President Jeff Crosby alongside Sarah Gordon and Sparkle Boea of Christianity Today, the awards honored outstanding book cover designs in four categories: Bibles, Children, Fiction, and Non-Fiction.
Judges reviewed over 260 entries from 17 publishers. The awards highlight the importance of exceptional design in book packaging and market success.
This year, Tyndale’s Jennifer Ghionzoli won an award in the Bible category for her design work on the NLT Courage For Life Study Bible for Women.

When reflecting on her award, Jennifer told us: “I had the privilege of meeting Ann White in February 2020, when discussions about the Courage for Life Women’s Bible were just beginning. From that first meeting, I was struck by her passion, her heart for ministry, and her vision for this project. As I’ve had the opportunity to read her notes within the Bible’s pages, my admiration for her has only deepened.
When approaching the design, I drew inspiration from Ann’s women’s prison ministry. The idea to reflect how the Lord can take lives that may seem messy or chaotic and transform them into something beautiful. That’s where the paint strokes came in and the bright, vibrant colors representing the courage to embrace a new life in Christ—a powerful, colorful life lived fully for Him.
It has been a true honor to contribute to bringing this Bible to life. Seeing the cover design receive an award feels like a confirmation of how God’s hand is at work through Ann and her ministry. Her dedication to the Lord is inspiring, and she has been a joy for all the teams here at Tyndale to partner with!”
Congratulations, Jennifer, on this wonderful achievement!
