Preston Perry received ECPA’s 2025 New Author Award for How to Tell the Truth

Tyndale House Publishers is pleased to announce that Preston Perry was given the New Author Award by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) as part of it 2025 Christian Book Awards.

In How to Tell the Truth, Preston Perry opens up about his life with striking honesty, taking readers from the streets of Chicago to the front lines of faith conversations. This isn’t just another book on apologetics. It’s a powerful story of how God met Preston where he was and taught him that truth isn’t just something we argue about—it’s something we live and share with compassion.

With his signature blend of boldness and humility, Preston helps us see that evangelism isn’t about being right—it’s about being real. Through personal stories, real-world encounters with people from a wide range of beliefs, and practical encouragement, this book challenges us to speak truth with love and to trust that God is the one who changes hearts.

How to Tell the Truth was also a finalist in the Faith and Culture category. Other Tyndale finalists include the NLT Go Bible for Kids (Bibles), the NLT Every Woman’s Bible (Bibles), Word before World by Gretchen Saffles (Devotion and Gift), and Even If He Doesn’t by Kristen LaValley (New Author).
