Paws For Hurricane Relief: An Invitation From Author Jennifer Marshall Bleakley

The following is a personal message from author Jennifer Marshall Bleakley with a unique opportunity to support victims of the recent hurricanes in the southeast.

I’m Jen Bleakley, the author of several nonfiction books about animals—including my newest devotional book, Paws in His Presence. I am also an animal lover with strong personal ties to both western North Carolina and Florida. In fact, you can read an about an experience I had as a child when a hurricane sat off our coast for days.

In light of the devastation so many people and animals in those areas are facing because of the recent hurricanes, I will be donating $5 from each copy of Paws in His Presence and More Pawverbs for Kids sold at Tyndale.com now through the end of November to the Humane Society Hurricane Relief Fund and the National Search and Rescue Dog Foundation. These two organizations are doing amazing work rescuing both animals and people.

There are so many needs right now. And so many organizations, churches, and individuals are providing help in amazing ways! If your heart is being tugged to support rescue and relief efforts in other ways, then please help there. And thank you for doing that!

This is just one other option and one way to give—from an author who spends my days looking to animals and asking them to teach me. They have taught me so much about God’s goodness even in the hard times, about being present with others in need, about giving generously, and about the power of community to get through a crisis. And so, I want to use these books to help them (and those who help them) in some small way.

Praying for all of those affected by the storms and for all the helpers (two-legged and four-legged) working to meet their needs.

With love,

Jen
